Bare Essentials Program. Our Bare Essentials Program provides what I believe to be the bare minimum of training necessary to seriously pursue a professional acting career. 

This program focuses on the Meisner Technique, and allows students to choose a combination of voice and/or movement training. The best artists master their instrument, and the Bare essentials program provides students the opportunity to begin developing their craft in a substantial way.

This program is perfect for actors who want to master the art of responding and doing truthfully under imaginary circumstances. Through rigorous training, students develop their ability to create authentic and emotionally resonant performances. 

Professional Actor Training Program. The Professional Actor Training Program is equivalent to MFA-level training. This program is designed for serious actors who are committed to pursuing a professional career in theater, film, or television. 

It covers a range of disciplines, including voice, movement, breathwork, cold reading, combat training, theater history, cold reading, dialects, classical text and script analysis. Students receive personalized instruction from experienced faculty, helping them refine their craft and develop the skills necessary to succeed in the industry.

Summer Acting Program. Our Summer Acting Program offers an intensive, short-term training experience for actors of all skill levels. This program is ideal for those looking to explore the craft of acting before committing to a full-time course. 

The core of the six-week acting intensive is the first 18 classes of the Meisner Technique. This program is ideal for anyone curious about NYC acting training. If you are interested in the Meisner Technique and want to experience professional training, this is the ideal program. 

It’s perfect for undergraduate and international students looking to spend a summer at a NYC acting studio. Participants engage in a selection of conservatory classes, including voice, playwriting, movement, mask &  character, and Alexander technique, providing a well-rounded introduction to acting training in NYC.

Professional Actor Business Program. The Professional Actor Business Program is unlike anything offered in the United States. When I graduated from Rutgers with my MFA in acting in 2001, my classmates and I experienced what every trained actor experiences; we’re thrown into the world and expected to figure out the business on our own. 

The PABP is a nine month course that has been created to help well-trained actors master the business of pursuing a serious professional career. 

The PABP provides: professional headshots, professionally shot & edited demo reel, a personally designed and professional built website, classes in creating your own content (producing, editing, directing, cinematography, and screenwriting), classes on self-taping, auditioning for film, theater, comedy, drama, procedurals, commercials, and voiceovers, life coaching, and workshops with a branding consultant, social media expert, and financial coach. 

The program culminates in a month of auditions for some of the top casting directors, agents, and managers in the industry. 

The Professional Actor Business Program is open to any well-trained actor who has received a BFA, MFA, or has completed a two-year acting conservatory similar to MFS.
